40,000 fingers

This story is already a couple of months old, but this blog post about this amazing and grimly inspiring article set me thinking. 40,000 fingers… The price of progress.

Real busy at work again, but trying to capture things I like on my blog before I lose track of them.

Think about this fact when you buy “made in China” products. A new european car for the factory boss and permanent injury for the worker.

So what do they do with the missing fingers, to boost the national GDP statistics?

I don’t believe the Communists would let 40,000 fingers go to waste.

“Finger food?” Or bones ground up and presented as “traditional Chinese medicine?” Considering how cannibalism broke out throughout the country during the Cultural Revolution (and not just because of hunger, but as a political statement), I don’t put anything past them. The Communists are, after all, dedicated to the proposition that Man is nothing but a soul-less beast, a sack of chemicals.

Jaunty necklaces.

So Ivan, do you like the Communists?

Richard, how can anyone not like the Communists?
After a steady diet of CCTV gala events for several years, I have nothing but gratitude for the Party who brought me thousands of dancing “national minorities” wearing big hats while they shout at Soong ZuYin across a fake river. Who needs so-called “beauty” or “civilisation” like Chartres Cathedral or Shakespeare, when you have THAT?

But seriously, thanks for giving me a laugh, bud. 🙂

No, thank you for the laugh. Between
“finger food” and your description of CCTV galas I’d say you’re on a roll.

“finger food” + “on a roll” + Ivan + cannabis = hallucinatory flashbacks of Beijing bakeries

Apparently, 99% of the people in America don’t, since they can hardly understand Shakespeare and their idea of “art” is Britney Spears or at best Jackson Pollock.

This is, again, another reason why the way Chinese trying to imitate garbage, shithole of the earth America is a bad thing for everyone, especially themselves.
