“Terror and Guilt”

Wow. Olbermann seems to up the ante with each new “Special Comment.” In this one, he calls Bush a serial liar, questions his moral fitness for office and pretty much labels him a coward. But this isn’t just name-calling; he uses example after example and constructs a devastating indictment of the Bush/Cheney regime, their disregard for truth, for democracy, for the Constitution, for anything other than the continuance of their own power.

You can watch it (and read the transcript) at the invaluable Crooks and Liars.

Dave, I would be THRILLED! I’m sure Richard would be as well. I can’t post nearly the volume that he does.

Email me at redandexpert at that mega ISP yahoo dot com.

Lisa, THANKS for posting that. That was friggin’ amazing!

That was on national television?? Unbelievable!

Who knows, there may be a ray of hope yet for the bedraggled, tattered Constitution. But first we’ll have to snatch the old parchment from the hands of the ruling elite.

“Give it back – it’s OURS!”

All of KO’s special comments have been…well, pretty amazing for national television. But this one was really something. If whoever sent him that fake anthrax thought it was going to intimidate him…well, guess again.

I particularly liked how he referred to Cheney as “a dark force…spreading fear like a contagion.”

Good onya for the link (since I wouldn’t have looked for it otherwise.) K.O. sounds totally Howard Beale. I liked Howard Beale — he used to be a role model. Sadly, I remember how he ended up in the movie.
