Sometimes We Get Burned…

And the only thing to do is correct the record ASAP:

The UMass Dartmouth student who claimed to have been visited by Homeland Security agents over his request for “The Little Red Book” by Mao Zedong has admitted to making up the entire story.

The 22-year-old student tearfully admitted he made the story up to his history professor, Dr. Brian Glyn Williams, and his parents, after being confronted with the inconsistencies in his account.

Richard, yeah, there’s other things I’d like to say about it too (and, well, correct my spelling), but I’ve been out participating in christmas cheer and need to get some sleep now before driving to my folks in San Diego.

Hope everyone is well and celebrating the season in whatever way you feel appropriate.

Mine tends to involve getting together with a bunch of musicians and singing carols and beatles songs, but that’s just me…

Hey, we just found out that the NSA is spying on…well, everyone by engaging in wholesale data-mining…and that Quakers and animal activists are among the targets…is it paranoia when they’re really out to get you?
