Fox News’ Public Relations Department

Amazing.  I mean, totally amazing. I knew they were evil, but I didn’t realize they were Joseph Goebbels evil.

CCTV should do the same.

I simply can’t imagine a news organization altering photos!! Let’s agree here and now, with the Peking Duck Seal of Approval, that any news organization who alters photos is evil and should never again be trusted. Agreed? Peking Duck says that any news source who alters photos is bad.

(by the way, that one guy looks much better with the photoshopping.)

No, that is not at all what TPD says. It says any news organization that alters photos of their critics to distort their features, giving them buck teeth and huge noses and distorted ears to make them look more “Jewish” in the style of Julius Streicher or Joseph Goebbels – is bad. Please don’t put words in my mouth. If you read the article from the NYT, you’d see this is not just about photo alteration, but trying to demolish any critic who raises questions about Fox News. Did you read the NYT piece?

Fox is not news. It is entertainment/propaganda to sell ad time/space just like every other “news” for profit including the NY Times (a paper that has had it reputation sullied repeatedly by unscrupulous writer). Rupert Murdoch is nothing more than a stooge for totalitarian capitalists everywhere despite the fact that he sees himself as a puppet master. Those who use Fox news exclusively are as likely to be misinformed as those who only read the NY Times exclusively. Though less likely in the latter case. It is the sole responsibility of those who are interested in current events to find a diverse set of sources and come to one’s own conclusions.

Now, now, Richard, don’t lose your mind. I’m no fan of Fox News, but likening their methods to those of Joseph Goebbels (Third Reich Minister of Propaganda and Hitler’s successor as German Chancellor) is extreme. Ask a Jew if you don’t believe me. Ever hear of Crystal Night? In fact, Fox News’ thuggish methods are downright gentle when compared to those employed by our friends at China’s Ministry of Propaganda.

Hong, I am talking about image manipulation. Not about murder. The way these photos were manipulated is definitely comparable to the posters put up around Nazi Germany in the 1930s, a topic I am very familiar with. Have you seen these famous posters?

You are getting your tribal loyalty all mixed up with clear moral judgement. I have a feeling that in your heart of hearts, you don’t really believe Fox News is setting up Jewish New York times reporters for mass extermination.

Breathless hyperbole is effective if used in very small doses, but this is one of those things where “When my guys do it it’s OK, but if the opposition does it, it’s pure evil.” And of course, ineffective. If you don’t remember clearly, the naughty boys at the OTHER organs of “totalitarian capitalism” had a bit of fun with Condi Rice’s face, and Michelle Malkin in a skimpy bikini got some laughs. Were you outraged then? But go ahead, explain why it’s justified when your side does it, or “but this is different!”

Of course the inspection teams are still searching for the headless corpse of Michael Moore and the mass graves of liberal university professors: we have yet to plumb the depths of evil secretly caused by the Goebbels-esque right wing media!

Richard,

You just got rolled up and smoked!

By Sam? Never. He and I have been arguing about politics for years – and he won’t touch the issue, that when you distort people’s noses and teeth to make them look grotesque and exceedingly “Jewish” it’s a mirror of Streicher and Goebbels. Sam and I willnever see eye to eye though I still like and respect him. Sam was also a Swift Boat fan – he thought that the Swifties were fair and valid as well. We kind of see things differently. What Fox did was vile and racist. I am not alone on this; hope you checked the links and read the NYT piece.
