Yes, I think it definitely qualifies. Oh, and it’s in Beijing.

I don’t remember ever seeing it before. And I don’t think it’s the kind of thing you’d forget.

Can you imagine what this turkey is going to look like a few years from now, after the wind and acid rain have disfigured its already ghastly paint job?

Hmm, wasn’t this shown on the website “Bad Bianzhu” or whatever it was about architecture in China? I remember them saying that you could book the vip suite in the guy’s pumpkin if you had enough dosh.

i am not an artist or architect.
but i don’t think it is ugly at all.

as the chinese report said. it is a but scary at night when there is no flood lights shining on them. during bright daylight it is perfectly fine, (as a statue).

i think it is just a bad and useless design, given the inside lighting and extra cost in construction.
(could the business be justified by the publicity? i don’t know.
— but probably not, because there were no copycat for the past 4 years.)

i think this is a good thing, a mercantilist china allowing the weirdest business idea to try it out. better than squandering on failed state owned projects.

the development zone is official Hebei province, but was marketed by property developer (and local govt) as a ‘sub-urb of beijing’
