Psycho John Bolton

Watch this video clip and then tell me with a straight face that Bolton is the most qualified, best spoken diplomat to represent the United States in the global community. In fact, tell me if he isn’t friggin’ insane. Takes a minute to download but don’t miss it; it’s a shocker.

For what it’s worth, Bolton’s appointment is an indicator that the Bushies are interested in UN reform. Had they sent a non-entity like Warren Christopher, I would have to conclude that the future intentions were to ignore the UN completely. “Let’s just make nice noises and not do anything.”

Pity they couldn’t have found a less fractious individual, though.

I think we need reform at the UN (who doesn’t?). But this with so many good people, why did he have to choose the very most divisive guy there is?

Not to mention that he’s involved with Plamegate (Treasongate, choose your label) up to his weird bushy eyebrows…

John Bolton is thoroughly nutz. He referred to Kim Jong-il as a “demented pigmy” or something like that. If he didn’t play such an important diplomatic role, I might think he was a funny and at least interesting character, especially with that bad-ass mustache of his. But instead, the fact that he plays such important roles makes me pretty concerned. I’d say that the last thing we need is John Bolton representing us at the UN.

Here’s Larry David’s take on the appeal of John Bolton. John really does look like that guy who use to do those Quaker Oatmeal commercials.

To call Kim Jong Il a “demented pigmy” is an outrageous offense to insane dwarfs.

Given the way the UN operates (or fails to, rather), I cannot imagine a better candidate than one who speaks so bluntly. Subtler, more, ah, diplomatic approaches at diplomacy haven’t worked so well in the hallowed halls of the UN.

but is he a mason? masons are bent on a course of world domination, and genocide, and they worship satan. i bet he is a mason. god help us all.

Ok, so maybe the UN needs some reforms, but not from Bolton.

I saw the hearings on him on CSpan a couple of months ago and he is more neo con than the neo cons.

What scares me the most is that this makes it appear that the US is putting itself above the UN, and that it consideres internaitonal law to be irelevant unless it agrees with US foreign policy.

Its men like Bolton that make me want the EU (and Jthe rest of the world) to sell high tech arms to China so that the US is forced to face up to something that is just as big as it is and is just as powerful as it is.

I support Bolton. UN is such a boring place. I just don’t like no drama and Bolton is the drama queen.

(Solemn disposition, in fact my face hurts so much from the sober intensity)
B is the most qualified, best spoken diplomat to represent the United States in the global community at a time when that shithole needs major plumbing and if it takes a ‘friggin’ insane’ to do that, so be it. Personally the UN read all them little guy impotent cesspool pass for sovereign states can go pluck themselves. If the administration chooses to play the game with Kofi &Co, it appointed the right man

BREAKING NEWS! Bolton’s first Miracle: China united with US!

BBC: China and US ‘unite’ over UN bid

Beijing will work with the United States to block a plan to add new permanent members to the UN Security Council, China’s UN ambassador says.

Wang Guangya said he agreed the deal with the new US ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, at a meeting.

Mr Wang admitted that they would be working in parallel rather than together in the coming weeks, “because we have different friends in different parts of the world.”
