From the Poor Man (as is the above photo of Mrs. Malgalang):

I have felt for some time that reading Michelle Malkin’s weblog is a lot like losing your virginity – it’s awkward, never as fun as you imagined it would be, and not something you should ever attempt alone or sober.

“Heh.” The entire post is required reading for those who believe Michelle is a whiny, pouting menace to civilzation.

That photo made me lose my lunch.
Please don’t surprise us this way in the future.

Poor Malgalang looks like the ping pong lady in Priscilla queen of the desert.
🙂

I’m no fan of her prose or reasoning but what’s your point, Richard? Malkin is actually fairly attractive. Any time I’m inclined to laugh at someone else’s bad photo, I just need to look at the hidious image staring back at me from my passport.

And your insistence on referring to her as “Mrs. Malgalang” reeks of anti-Filipina bigotry. I thought you Progressives were above that sort of thing.

Conrad, the lady bugs me, calling for internment of Moslems, rejoicing in what we did to the Japanese on the West Cdoast during WWII, obsessing over the exaggerated threat of immigrants and being at times unashamedly racist. I refer to her as Maglalang because it’s obvious she tries to hide from her Philippine roots — in a sense, she hates herself for being an immigrant.

How does she try to hide her Philippine roots? First, you just have to look at her and second, I’ve read things she’s written, including things about the Philippines, where she explicitly states that she is a Filipina. She’s merely using her married name, something that should come as no surprise from a politically conservative woman.

Well, maybe I’m being mean and nasty, but I thought the picture shows us the real face of a dangerous person. And I do believe she loathes herself for not being a pure White American — after all, she loathes everyone else who isn’t.

It’s a very FUNNY picture. I can’t stop laughing

She can be very informative, but she feels the need to add that right-wing twist to everything she discusses… I’m not American, but looking at the way the USA is these days, that’s the last thing the public needs…
