I hope this doesn’t jinx things….

But Living in China is back, again. Remember, the last time I posted this same news, the site promptly went down again for several days. Let’s hope it’s back for good this time.

It seems not many people here noticed the mysterious death of the brilliant Chinese American author Iris Chang.

It’s a pretty shocking news for me, she died several days ago but it’s not until today I happened to see the “news”.

Why such a smart, popular, talented author who’d have a bright future would want to kill herself at the age of (merely) 36 is totally besides me.

She was the author of NewYork Times best-selling book:{ Rape of Nanking}. She also wrote other brilliant books , under great pressure from various groups.
