To those who wanted to place bets that bush would win….

Like Sam — I am ready to place my bet now that Kerry will win. Still game? I can only bet $100, but I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is. Are you?

If you are that confident, go to tradesports.com and buy a bunch of Kerry shares. They are selling for about $44, and they will pay $100 if Kerry wins. I am not a Bush fan, but it’s looking grim for the good guys.

Karl, thanks for the tip. I am pretty sure it’s going to be a landslide. A few weeks ago I thought Kerry was toast. I am no hysteric, I’m just going on the evidence. With bush well below 50 percent, and with Kerry getting doing better in the polls and a flood of damning news for bush, the odds now seem strongly in the good guys’ favor.

Well, I might have to take you up on that
bet. Give me the weekend to think it over, and to read LGF a few more times.

If I read it enough, I’ll be convinced that no one is voting for Kerry. 😉

LGF is a cesspool. Worse than a Chinese toilet.

Nah, after Joe ….er….”declined” by saying that Republicans wouldn’t pay their debts anyway, I went on to the markets. Too bad, as I was offering even odds at the time.

You can also use the University of Iowa futures markets…they have some fancy sub-contracts: You can take Kerry-by-52% or more, or Kerry-by-less than 52% margins, with interesting odds. I don’t know how they’ll determine the final numbers considering the inevitable recounts, but you can download the prospectus.

By the way, you’ll be happy to see I’m proudly displaying a Kerry/Edwards banner on my blog today.
