The big slowdown

I start my new job on Monday, and the workday starts at 8 a.m. So after months of being free to blog for much of the day, that’s all about to grind to a halt. Sure, I may find time to blog from the office (“only on my lunch hour”), but not for the first few days. So I expect a major slowdown, if not complete silence for a while. It was fun while it lasted….

Congratulations on the new job! 8 a.m., though… that sucks.

With the recent articles in our really crappy local newspaper about corporations firing employees for using the Internet and email for personal items, I would tread very carefully.

It’s getting worse, so much so that I know of a few companies that monitor employee emails, Web usage and a bunch of other stuff that it’s quite scary.

Wait until you get home for searching for news, etc.

I actually had to sign a document acknowledging their right to listen in on my phone calls. Doesn’t that suck??

Sorry, you’re going to have to quit your job because I enjoy reading your website too much.

Thanks, but I’ve gotta eat…. I’m sure I’ll continue, but it’ll definitely slow down drastically in about 8 hours.
