The “You could go to Pukhet and Bangkok” argument is dumb, you cannot apply statistics to a single individual. Else a “you are a male and able to rape a woman” equals to “you are a rapist”. Wow, this ‘Wayne’ is such a complete and utter scumbag. I can’t imagine anybody even remotely supporting such atrocious and appalling ‘commentary’ or finding it amusing. I’ve lost all my respect for some people on this day.
Brendan is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, a true gentleman and a scholar and well-liked by everyone. His Chinese-language blog attacts a sizeable group of devoted fans from China and abroad, and not only because there aren’t many bloggers in the Chinese-language blogsophere, of any nationality, who occasionally write in both wenyan as well as baihua, but also because his honest and funny observations of life in Beijing are so spot-on that they defy the language barrier.
I always joke that my role is to play ‘Salieri’ to BOK’s ‘Mozart.’ He’s too humble to ever say it himself, but the kid is absolutely brilliant.
