Again, no time for this blog

On days like this I just want to close the whole thing down (goodbye, site traffic). Apologies.

“Everybody’s talking
And no one says a word…
There’s Nazis in the bedroom
Just below the stairs;
Always something happening
And nothing going on;
They’re starving back in China
So finish what you got….
(chorus):
Nobody told me there’d be days like these,
Strange days indeed….”

Raj, I’m referring to days when I have too much work to do and feel acute pressure to put something up on this site lest readers feel disappointed and disenchanted. After all, the one thing that differentiates TPD from a lot of competitors is the frequency and volume of posts (and, of course, the gorgeous writing style).

Before you do that, I — for one — would appreciate your thoughts on the significance (and timing) of Taiwan’s announcement that it would test fire a missile.

richard, what about letting someone trusted put something up? Anyway it’s not as if you have to something up every day. You put too much pressure on yourself.

Why in the world would a few tens of missles that is capable of hitting Fujian or Guangdong matter to the grand scheme of things? Cutting Taiwan loose on matters like this that is so trivial? Please. Get real. The Taiwanese is merely trying to show to its people that the military is trying to do something to pretects itself and won’t be complete sitting ducks if and when the missles started flying. It is a purely defensive weapon. An offensive weapon is if they decide to develop something that will reach Shanghai or Beijing.

Richard,

I cannot speak for everyone, but I can tell you that my schedule also has hectic periods where I cannot post or reag blogs.
I understand that you cannot post as frequently as you like, but I donøt mind waiting.

Cheers!
