A good question

Ripped off from this blog, which also has some great commentary on the Coulter sickness. The real question is, why are our media putting pornography like Coulter on the airwaves?

The Discussion: 15 Comments

Let’s face it, if Coulter was a fat brunette, or over- 50, no one would have listened to her in the first place.

That she is more photogenic than Limbaugh is a poor excuse.

Agree with Ceredwin. The networks want ratings, and a thin blonde female shows better than fat balding males.

“The human eye is attracted to beauty and horror” and Ann Coulter is both.

She is one very sick individual. Like you, I cannot understand why any media outlet would give her views an airing. It reflects very badly on the level of public debate in the US.

“Beauty?” Are you SERIOUS?

Thinking of Ann Coulter is my version of a cold shower. She looks like a heroin addict.

Did you guys happen to see the Joe Dante special on Showtime, when zombie soldiers killed in the Iraq War come back – and what they want to do is vote?

There is an Ann Coulter character (and a Karl Rove) – it’s not a subtle production but a helluva lot of fun.

Regardless, I thought Anne Coulter is hot blonde, so is Laura Ingraham. Wondering who the liberal hotties are.

Hot? She’s a skank. I’ll take Maureen Dowd.

Richard, you and I are going to have to fight a duel now. 😉

As for sepa’s question about liberal honeys, I have a thing for Yulia Tymonshenko, Ukraine’s former Prime Minister. (Orange Revolution leader.) Her website (in English) is at:

Yulia’s a honey for sure, but I’m not so sure I’d call her a liberal. She’s a Galician nationalist but also an opportunist who feels comfortable pushing Communist positions whenever they’ll help her.

boo:

‘CHORT!

I have nothing more to say to you, about Yulia.

You…just…don’t…get it…

…and I pity you, and all others who don’t get it, for your spiritual poverty. Ten years from now, the mainstream Western media will catch up (belatedly) on the story of the crash of China’s ersatz “economic miracle”, while Russia and Ukraine have made real miracles. The real miracles are happening right now, in Russia and Ukraine, while the world gazes at the opium dream of China’s “rise”…..

…ten years from now, you’ll understand what I mean. Although this blog and this comment will probably disappear long before then….

I read chapters 2 and 3 of Franken’s Lies and the Lying Liars who tell them to my class to discuss the limitation of sources the other day.

i think she’s hot!

(not really)

Ivan, wow! I must have touched a nerve. But at least we know which Ukrainian oligarch faction you’re siding with now.

OK, just for you, I’ll say something nice about Yulia: her intimate familiarity with corrupt Ukrainian business practices (we both know how she got her money) probably qualifies her to combat corruption, if she ever decides that such a thing would be politically expedient.

Richard, I dont know about you, should Coutler extend an offer, Id be seriously thinking about it. Haha. I mean, this woman has a lot to say. She goes over the top a lot. And you may not like her ultra right leaning. She speaks out her minds and is pretty entertaining sometimes. Anyway, reasonable minds can differ.

Ivan, Im talking about pundits. But Id agree with you on Yulia. Interesting, I know a couple of girls form Ukraine, they all good-looking brunette without exception. I quizzed them on this. Their answers are the same: Ukraine girl are beautiful. One of the girls is a former classmate of mine. Another one is a part-time pole dancer, illegal immigrant from Kiev.
