Mickey Kaus endorses Kerry!?

And Sullivan congratulates him for it! What is this world coming to?

John and Teresa Kerry are on Larry King even as we speak. She is amazing. Can you imagine, having a First Lady with a real personality? It would be unprecedented in my lifetime.

Hillary had a personaltiy, albeit a nasty one.

“albeit a nasty one.”

Heh. I think maybe he meant an *interesting* personality! Mrs. H-K is likely to be less predictable than Mrs. R-C.

I wasn’t that impressed with Hillary’s personality as a first lady. Teresa is earthy and sensual. Hillary is many things — but earthy and sensual she’s not.

We watched that Larry King too…here in Beijing. I was also impressed (and entertained) by her personality and nimble mind. I wondered, though, did it accentuate JK’s relative reserve?

Do you believe their assertion that neither of them screened Fahrenheit 911?

Anyone able to get a DVD of F/911 in China yet?

I thought she brought out his softer, more playful side, and I don’t think her extrovertedness made him seem more reserved — they complement one another beautifully.

I am feeling more positive right now about Kerry, in every way, than I have at any time before. I just watched McLaughlin Group and aside from the vile Tony Blankley (Washington Times, what do you expect?) everyone else — including John McLaughlin and Pat buchanan — seemed certain Kerry is poised to win.

That doesn’t mean we can let our guard down and take anything for granted. But after seeing Edwards in action this week and how the Washington establishment is responding to him, I am more energized than ever.

Please be sure to get your absentee ballots in early.

Dopn’t know how far back your lifetime goes, but mine includes Jackie Kennedy. A truly great first lady. Great wit, charm and presence. Also one tough lady.

Hey, I like Hilary. She will cut your balls off if you cross her. Hate her politics tho. Way too socialist for my taste. Bill was much more moderate.

I like Hillary, especially now. Back when she was First Lady I have to admit I was quite wary of her; she seemed kind of artificial. (Hard to explain; maybe the right-wing banter about her got to me.) Teresa, on the other hand, is anything but restrained or artificial. She’s a bit nutty in the way I like — funny! That’s really it; the others had those forced politicians’ wives smiles. Teresa’s smile is genuine, and she doesn’t hide her sauciness and joi de vivre.

Jackie may have been elegant and gracious and gorgeous, but I don’t think of her as having a lively, racy, saucy personality, but I’m just a little too young to remember.

Hilary had to be artificial as First Lady. She was trying to fit into a mold that definately wasn’t matched to her personality. She is free from the whole image of the nation thing and can now let the true Hilary out to play. She will be giving the GOP fits for many years to come – the Dems too for that matter.
