The moment you’ve all been waiting for….

These are the Beijing Bloggers themselves, plus a good friend of mine. (God, I look so serious!) To find out who’s who, you’ll have to go here, from whence I stole the photo.

That is one of the most frightening group photos I have ever seen.I can’t workout whether it is a serial killers convention or a meeting of UFO spotters!

(all in good fun of course)

It is pretty piss poor.

I blame the lack of alcohol.

I found this description of the names confusing … left to right top to bottom means what? So is Richard the guy seated in the middle? Or have I got it wrong?

I’m the weird one, looking inexplicably and inappropriately stern, seated in-between Ben and Emile, the European artificial intelligence genius. Hovering above are Brian (the tall one), then to the right in the dark shirt is danwei’s Jeremy, and ever-so-cool Adam poses casually on the far right as he dreams of appearing on the cover of GQ. Way off in left field is Brendan, the foppish dandy and something of a rebel, the one who arrives late and drives off on his Harley. To my left is the token Asian, Ben, the suave advertising man who will one day be rich and famous.

(Please guys, don’t take offense at any of my poetic license in describing you — all in good fun, with only a modicum of truth thrown in for balance.)

Christ, I thought it was an old photo of the chess club from my ol’ high school year book. Seriously, wish I could have come, but I have a contract here in hell, which is twelve hours away from Beijing. Hope y’all got laid, or something….

My god, that is a shockingly bad photo. I blame the waitress. It’s her fault I look like a tool.

Adam – I had no problem whatsoever with the lack of alcohol there, but that was probably because of my newfound Saturday-morning repentance.

Richard – you forgot to mention the part where I had to beat off hordes of screaming girls!

I’ve never seen this photo! It’s like a bizzaro world version of Reservoir Dogs! It’s great, oh man this made my weekend.
